If you recently got the new GranTurismo and were thinking of racing online with other players around the world or playing with a friend/family locally through the screen mode shared, you must have been surprised when you realized that these features were not accessible from the start…
Starting your career in Gran Turismo 7 you will have an overview of the world map which includes a number of places like the GT Café, the shop to buy used vehicles, your garage and others… Respecting certain conditions, you can unlock new sections on the world map of Gran Turismo 7 including the port which is at the bottom right of the screen where you can access the online multiplayer features or higher, the GT mode Sport to participate in ranked and competitive races.
How to unlock online and local multiplayer races in Gran Turismo 7:
When you start playing, you will quickly understand that the campaign of Gran Turismo 7 mainly focuses on a series of menus that you can undertake by going to the "GT Cafe". These menus allow you to unlock new races, also unlock new challenges and even add new cars to your collection... And it is also thanks to the GT Cafe that you can unlock the functions that allow you to participate in races on line. To do this, you will have to complete the first 9 menus until you reach the "Tokyo Highway Parade" championship (that's about 3 hours of play).
When this is done, two new icons will appear on your map allowing you to play with other players online by creating a room or by joining an existing room. You will also have access to local play, but some rules apply in this mode. Higher up on the map you will also see the sports mode icon, this is the ranked and competitive part of Gran Turismo 7's online multiplayer mode. A code of conduct applies when playing GT7 with d other online players, please review this code of conduct before joining the track.
