Forza Horizon 5 is currently in early access and many players around the world are already readying their cars and driving through its vivid and beautifully designed environments. That said, Forza Horizon 5 offers all Xbox Series X|S players the option to choose between 2 graphics modes, Quality and Performance. But which one to choose? Don't worry, now we'll tell you everything you need to know about each mode.
Forza Horizon 5 Graphics Modes Explained: Quality vs Performance
The quality mode allows the gamer to play the game in 4K/30 FPS at the highest graphics settings available. Performance mode, on the other hand, allows layers to also play the game in 4K, but at 60 FPS and with some graphics settings toned down to allow for a higher frame rate. Here is a summary of what each graphics mode offers in Forza Horizon 5:
- Performance: 4K resolution at 60 FPS on Series X, graphics settings are toned down to accommodate the higher frame rate. On Xbox Series S, the mode runs at dynamic 1080p resolution at 60 FPS.
- Quality: 4K resolution at 30FPS. The highest graphics quality and fidelity available for the title.
Which mode to choose?
Overall the game looks beautiful in both modes, the main difference apart from its frame rates is in the amount of detail and graphical quality displayed on the screen.
That said, for those looking for the best possible graphical experience of Forza Horizon 5, Quality Mode will allow you to see the world in the best possible quality while also allowing you to play the title at 30 FPS. Performance mode, on the other hand, is recommended for those who prefer to play at 60fps and don't mind losing stunning detail in exchange for a performance boost.
