The initial plans of Warner Bros have changed, Gotham Knights, the spiritual successor of Batman Arkham will finally not be released on the so-called "Old Gen" consoles, namely the PS4 and Xbox One. In a FAQ set up on the official site, it is indeed specified that in order to offer players the best possible experience, the teams working on the game have taken the decision that Gotham Knights will not be released on PS4 and Xbox. One as originally planned… A blow for those who had imagined being able to embody the four knights of Gotham, namely Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin on these game media!

What media will Gotham Knights be released on and what is the release date:
Gotham Knights will be available only on the new game consoles, on the PlayStation 5, on the Xbox Series X & S in physical and digital edition and also on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Gotham Knights is still expected for October 25, 2022, the date announced a few months ago is maintained for the moment.
It therefore seems that the development studios are gradually abandoning the idea of porting the next games to come on PS4 and Xbox One, which will eventually push players to turn to the new generation of consoles.
