At every step of your Elden Ring adventure, you'll find and touch what the game calls "Fainting Grace Sites." These are campfires where you can rest and use various options to improve your character's level by spending runes or to strengthen your healing vial, for example. If the grace sites have the effect of reappearing all the monsters in the area when you rest there, they serve you mainly as control points.
If you die, you will respawn at the last grace site you touched. You don't even have to rest at a grace site when you find one, just touch it to make it a checkpoint. Elden Ring has a huge number of Fainting Grace sites to hit while exploring the different regions and areas of the Underworld.
There are over 300 Grace Sites throughout the game! In addition to serving as resting places, you can fast travel between each site you have activated. It is therefore strongly advised when venturing into the lands of Elden Ring to activate as many Vanished Grace sites as possible.
