Discover all the quests related to Seluvis in Elden Ring, you will know to whom you must give the brew he gives you and learn how to unravel the secrets that surround this mysterious character. During your adventure in Elden Ring, you will have the opportunity to visit Ranni the Witch's Tower, where you will meet this famous malevolent magician. To get there, you will first need to go through Caria Manor in the Liurnia region and successfully defeat Royal Knight Loretta.
When this is done, you will first have to talk to Ranni the witch at the top of the tower. The spectral form of Seluvis will only appear if you agree to serve Ranni. After speaking with Seluvis twice in a row, he will ask you to come and consult him directly in his tower, which is a little further away.
★ Note – Be careful, if you complete Ranni's quest before Seluvis's (by giving him the relic of the Digicide blade), the latter will lose his life. You can still collect his cinerary pearl and interact with his remains to obtain puppets in exchange for starlight shards.
Should we give the Seluvis potion to Nepheli Loux in Elden Ring?
You don't have to give the Seluvis potion to Nepheli Loux, there are other alternatives. You should know that if you give the potion to Nepheli Loux at this point, you will block her quest line...
- If you give it to her, she will be transformed into a doll, which in turn will allow you to obtain the Ashes of summoning the puppet Nepheli Loux when you return to Seluvis. Note that if you have already progressed through the Raya Lucaria Academy, Nepheli Loux will have changed places in the Round Table Bastion, she will be sitting at the bottom of the stairs not far from the Hewg blacksmith.
- If you don't want to block Nepheli's quests and aren't interested in the summoning power, give the potion to Gideon Ofnir the All-Knowing who is at the Round Table instead. He will get rid of it and will be able to make Seluvis believe that you have indeed given the drink to Nepheli... This way you can continue Seluvis' quest without canceling Nepheli's.
- In case you have advanced far enough on the map, at least far enough to reach the capital, you can follow the Coprophage quest. Bring him at least one Seedling Curse to give you a key to the round table (we're talking about the red specter in the isolated room). He will ask you to kill his carnal shell in the sewers of the capital Leyndell. If you find him in the sewers, you can then give him the Seluvis beverage, which will allow you to recover the ashes of the Coprophage puppet's summons from Seluvis.
→ Whatever your choice, come back to Seluvis and he will agree to sell you some sorcery in return.
Follow Seluvis' plan and betray Ranni by making him drink the amber brew:
Not far from Ranni's tower you will find ancient ruins, there is a hidden passage in these ruins. Do a jump attack to reveal a passage to the dungeons. Here you will find Seluvis' personal collection of puppets. A golden message in the room mentions it. When you have explored the place, return to Seluvis and tell him that you have discovered this place. He will give you a puppet to keep quiet about it...
Tell him you'd like some new puppets and he'll trade you some for Starlight Shards. By talking several times with Seluvis, he will confess to you that his plan is to obtain the puppet of a demigod, and what better way than to betray Ranni to achieve this? Accept his request and he will ask you to find an Amber Starlight Shard. Go to the Atlus plateau not far from the crossgrace of the Atlus causeway to find the key item "Amber Starlight Shard" to bring back to Seluvis afterwards.
When you do, he will give you the magic scorpion talisman as well as the amber brew to drink to Ranni the witch in her tower. If you do, you will block Ranni's quest, knowing that Seluvis' plan which is actually controlled by Pidia (who is on the roof of the Caria mansion) the traitor will fail, they will both be executed. To make amends with Ranni if you tried to poison him with the brew, you can go to the Church of Wishes to have your sins absolved.
