As you progress through the RPG Soul Hackers 2, you will need to search for several types of materials and components to improve the weapons (COMP) of your characters or to obtain rare items such as those found in the Yang Yang Palace of the "Dimension Mansei”. At the owner of the place, Lina, there are indeed very useful objects, some of which permanently improve the stats of the characters / summoners of the game.
These items are difficult to obtain since they require a very, very rare type of component called "scented wood". This guide tells you how to find this type of component in Soul Hackers 2 and provides you with some useful information that will allow you to better understand how to obtain them easily.
How to find the "scented wood" component/material in Soul Hackers 2:
The "scented wood" component is obtained from powerful enemies and only this type of opponent. When you explore the game's dungeons or the soul matrix of your summoners, you will see three types of demons appear, red (standard enemies), yellow (rare enemies) and blue (powerful enemies). You must hunt down and defeat the third type to hope to obtain "scented woods".
Be aware that these demons have a much higher level than your team and will therefore require you to put in place a good strategy if you hope to defeat them. Likewise, if you tend to advance too quickly in the story, the composition of the demons that you will encounter when coming into contact with blue enemies will change, they will be even more powerful. If you want to collect this type of material in your game, we advise you to avoid progressing too quickly in the dungeons.
★ Tip – As you explore the soul matrix of your summoners, you can unlock unique skills in Arrow, Saizo or Milady that are not obtainable otherwise. We advise you to unlock Arrow's "Stomach" skill. Once the skill is activated, weak enemies will no longer spawn on the field and only strong enemies will be able to spawn in an area where enemies are weaker than you.
Completing Lina's various requests from the Yang Yang Palace will unlock new types of items in her store. There will also be new, more interesting stat modifiers. Initially, you will only have access to "Incense Sticks" that raise a 1 point STAT for a Summoner. Thereafter, you will have access to real incense which allows you to increase stats by 3 points for a character! These items require a different type of "scented wood" which only drops from powerful enemies level 45 and above.
