As you explore the slums of Stray, you will be tasked with collecting four notebooks to successfully convince the robots to aid you in your quest to reach the surface and figure out how you can gain an advantage against the threat posed by the Zurks. When you arrive in the slum, you will soon meet the Guardian who will advise you to start by talking to Momo who is in one of the apartments above the roofs.
Just turn around and look up to see a flashing red sign high above the rooftops. This is where we find Momo in Stray! Join his apartment and talk to him so that he gives you a first notebook. You must then find the notebooks of Clémentine, Zbaltazar and the Doc by following the symbols of the Exteriorists (a kind of emoji on a blue background).
Find Clémentine's notebook:
The clementine notebook is easy to obtain. As you exit Momo's house, look in front of you to see a blue-lit wall with the Outsider symbol. Go through the window and search the back of the room towards the computer which remained on to pick up Clementine's diary.
Where to find Zbaltazar's Notebook:
From Momo's house, turn the camera to the left to see a blue glowing sign, indicating that a notebook is nearby. On the roof near the neon, look for a plug to unplug to stop the spinning fan. This will allow you to access Zbaltazar's apartment. To find his notebook, you will have to jump on the pile of cardboard boxes and knock it over. In one of the boxes, you will find the notebook you are looking for.
Get the Doc's Notebook in Stray:
From Momo's house, turn your camera to the right and go to the back building where you can see the symbol of the Outsiders again. Inside this apartment you will come across a row of bookshelves. In the building, go to the level of the leather sofa to reach a back room partially hidden by piles of books… In the room, you will find on a bed a key and a sheet to translate to your B-12 robot. You will learn of the existence of a safe hidden in the library...
If you're wondering where to find the library chest in Stray, it's very simple. Leaving this room, go immediately to the left hallway then to the right at the intersection and drop the pile of books on the ground to find the chest. Now all you have to do is interact with it and select the key you discovered earlier to open the safe and retrieve the Doc's notebook. All you have to do is go back and talk with momo in her apartment to continue your feline adventure in Stray.
