V Rising is an open-world survival game developed and published by Stunlock studio. In this adventure of a different kind, you have the possibility of incarnating a bloodthirsty vampire, who wakes up after centuries of slumber. The goal is to build a vampiric empire by building a castle and growing an army of darkness. But before that, you will have to learn how to survive in this hostile world and collect many essential resources while being careful of the sunlight which is known to turn vampires into ashes.
Players new to V Rising may wonder if it's possible to play it with a controller in hand. As a reminder, the game is exclusive to the PC platform and it does not seem planned by the Stunlock studio to release it on other media, in particular the PlayStation and Xbox home consoles, which raises the question of controller support…
Controller support in the game V Rising on PC, what you need to know:
First of all, let's remember that "V Rising" is currently in early access and that there are still quite a few aspects of the game to be developed for the studio. For now, V Rising is played exclusively with keyboard and mouse. No need to try to connect your Xbox / PlayStation controller or other, you will not be able to play V Rising in a suitable way with a controller.
In several posts on the V Rising community thread, the developers of the Stunlock studio have indicated that they do not currently plan to bring controller support to the game, stating that V Rising is best enjoyed with keyboard and mouse and that it's pretty easy for everyone to learn the controls. Note, however, that you can connect a controller to the game and it will be recognized.
You'll be able to move your character using the analog stick and perform a few actions by default, but V Rising offers so many different actions that you won't be able to bind all of the commands to your controller buttons which will at some point prevent you from progress in the adventure.
