Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed Origins, Beginner's Guide, Tips, Advice, Tricks
Assassin's Creed Origins is your first experience with a franchise game? Here are some tips to get you started in the game.
Disclaimer: if you are used to'Assassin's Creed or RPGs in general, almost all of this advice may seem mind-boggling to you, but if you are not at all familiar with these universes, these recommendations could potentially help you greatly.
1. Watch out for animals
It may seem silly to you, but we don't value animals above all. Whether it's crocodiles or hippos, you'll come face to face with fearsome creatures during your journey. You even serve to be forced to face them, during certain missions, so make sure you know what type of danger you are in, and especially how many there are.
2. Beware of fire
Another thing which may seem acquired, but which is not necessarily so: do not get (too) close to the fire. Fire is going to be an integral part of Assassin's Creed Origins and if you misjudge your relationship with it, you risk starting to burn to your potential death. So be extra vigilant when there is fire around.
3. Spot enemies and their equipment
In most cases, you'll be sneaking attacks on isolated targets, allowing you to kill them in one shot, without taking too many risks. But from time to time, you will have to go into the crowd and face enemies in order to achieve your goals. Before stupidly entering the fray, identify the various enemies present in the surroundings, their number, but also the way in which they are equipped. An enemy simply armed with a sword will obviously be easier to eliminate than a soldier equipped with a shield, a helmet and a spear of more than two meters. Observing is vital.
4. Don't tackle enemies that are too high in level
Once your enemies have been identified, you will need to know if it is worth going into battle. Even if you master the game's new combat system perfectly, don't underestimate the level of the enemies. If you are for example level 10-12 and you decide to go fight a group of 5 enemies, all being level 15, you might as well say that there is absolutely no chance that you will emerge victorious. If you're stuck due to a level gap, feel free to do some side quests.
5. Aim for the head
Very often in video games, we go hunting for headshots (headshots) for maximum efficiency. Assassin's Creed Origins is no exception to the rule and you will inflict more damage if you aim your enemies head on. Armed with your bow, you will therefore need fewer arrows to overcome a target if you chain shots in the head.
6. Watch your ammo
Unlike some action movies, you won't have infinite ammo to continuously fire at your enemies, so pay close attention to that number scrolling at the bottom of your screen. This is mainly valid for your different arrows, which you will often have to use sparingly so as not to be dry in front of an important enemy.
7. Loot everything in your path
Another advice that may seem basic, but yet many players do not necessarily pay attention to all the things that cross their path. Whether it's after a fight on the remains of an enemy or on the table of a room you visit, get your hands on all the objects you come across. It will be useful to you in the future, whether for direct use or for resale.
8. Use Senu
Senu will be your eyes in the Egyptian sky. Whether it's to simply scout the surroundings or to mark points of interest on your map, call on Senu as often as possible.
9. Move forward in time
In Assassin's Creed Origins, you can move forward in time. Do not hesitate to use and abuse this possibility, because some missions will only be available during the night, for example.
10. Interact as much as possible
Do not stupidly follow your mission (main or secondary) and take the time... to waste time. Try to interact with as many NPCs as you come across in your progress, even if it means talking to characters for nothing. As a result, you will be able to leave with valuable information, but also some resources from time to time.
