In the new Saints Row, you and your team seek to assert your presence on the streets of Santo Ileso. For a thriving criminal enterprise, you need cash, but also command respect from opposing gangs. The best way to achieve this is to seek high firepower. To see all of Santo Ileso fear you, you need to get yourself a battle tank (tank). This guide tells you how you can get your own tank in Saints Row.
To obtain a tank, you will have to fight a difficult battle. We therefore advise you to go to the arms dealer to equip yourself and stock up on ammunition. It is also highly recommended to purchase a rocket launcher from the armory.
How to get battle tank (tank) in Saints Row (2022):
To get it, you'll have to provoke the cops and raise your notoriety level with them! Start by spreading chaos in Santo Ileso until you have your first level of notoriety with the local police. Then, blow up their cars and take out some cops. But beware, not all of them! If you go too fast, they won't have time to call for reinforcements and therefore you won't be able to raise your Wanted level anymore. When you see an agent call for reinforcements, let him do it and don't shoot him, that's what will allow other cops to arrive en masse. From notoriety level 3, SWAT will intervene.
★ Tip – Consider disabling the “under the radar” major asset in your phone. It tends to generate less notoriety when equipped.
Know that those super cops who have bulletproof shields will never call for reinforcements. To see your notoriety continue to climb, you need to leave a few on-duty cops alive so they keep calling in reinforcements. Their calls will always take longer, but from notoriety level 4, you will see combat helicopters appear. They can take you out with a few shots so now's the time to pull out your rocket launcher to take them down. When you reach notoriety level 4, you will also see an armored vehicle with a turret arrive. Eliminate the guy who is in the turret and seize this tank.
The tank will soon arrive now, as soon as you reach notoriety level 5! Get close enough with the armor you stole earlier to be out of cannon range and drop down when you're closest. All you have to do is steal it from the police and park it in the garage of your HQ at the church. As soon as you arrive at the gates of your HQ, the notoriety level will reset and the cops will scatter through the streets of Santo Ileso. Once you have added the “Adversary” tank to your garage, you can use it at will even if it is destroyed.
★ Note – If you are unfortunate enough to shoot down the tank when it spawns at wanted level 5, you should be aware that notoriety will end immediately and all cops will fall back. The goal is to steal the tank to bring it back to your HQ, not to destroy it with a rocket launcher.
Via the personalization menu of your garage or by going to "JimRob", you can make some improvements to the tank. You can add up to three upgrade kits to increase its performance. You can even install a Nitro kit to improve your tank's top speed!
