| Lucas is the hero of Mother 3 and in many ways he resembles Ness and Nintendo. Similarities that are found in Smash Bros. Ultimate since Lucas uses similar abilities, yet with properties different enough for him to be played as a different character. PSY Freeze | |
| Launches a projectile that freezes opponents. The trajectory of the projectile can be controlled. | |||

| Launches a bolt of lightning that explodes on contact, creating a column of flame that knocks opponents away. | |||

PSY Thunder | |
| Projects a controllable ball of electricity. Lucas is thrown with force long distance if he touches himself. | |||

PSY Magnetism | |
| Absorbs all energy-based attacks and weak explosions. Activates faster and heals better than Ness'. | |||

PSY Meteors | |
| With help from Kumatora and Boney, Lucas summons a meteor storm that damages all enemies it hits. Meteors fall faster and faster during the attack. The trajectory of meteors can be adjusted with the stick. | |||
