Super Smash Bros. Ultimate offers you to embody more than 70 characters, which can be enough to make a new player dizzy who wants to get started in the game. There are many different fighting styles, of course, but some fighters are much more difficult to master than others. Kirby
It's not for nothing that Kirby is the only character available at the start of Adventure Mode. In addition to being all cute and all pink, it also has many advantages for a player who is just starting out. He is rather strong and fast, has fairly simple attacks to understand, including one that makes him simply invincible.
But Kirby's big advantage over other beginner characters is that he can fly! Indeed, Kirby can jump up to 5 times in the air, where other characters can only jump 2 times. Thanks to this, it is much easier to return to the field after being ejected, or to temporize the fight by staying in the air.
Donkey Kong
If you prefer heavy characters, Donkey Kong will do just fine. His attacks are rather simple to understand: he puts potatoes. All his shots consist of hitting more or less hard on the opponents in front of him, whether to eject them into the air or bury them on the ground. It is difficult to make it easier to reach.
Donkey Kong's weight also makes it more difficult for him to be shipped off-screen. Even if that happened, his Spinning High B performs far better than most returning skills, making him relatively stable in the field.
Lucina
Chrom's Daughter is a solid choice for beginners and advanced players alike. Lucina is, in a way, like Donkey Kong: she has few subtleties in most of her moves. Although it is difficult to master and very technical, a novice player can be content to wave his sword in all directions and obtain satisfactory results.
Lucina is weaker than Marth, but her damage is more consistent, which is better when starting out.
Peach
Princess Peach is also an interesting choice to start with. It also offers an offensive option that the previous characters do not have: projectiles. Peach can indeed uproot vegetables to throw them at opponents, which proves very useful during mid-range fights or to ensure that an opponent does not return to the field.
Like Kirby, she has good aerial options. If she can't fly like Kirby, she can unfold her umbrella and hover high and long distances to get back on the field.

The Landes Hero has a very interesting arsenal for those who want to reach their opponents at a longer range than a vegetable throw. Whether it's with his bombs, his boomerang or simply his bow, Link is the master of ranged combat. His remote bombs are also great options for beating an opponent, just avoid staying within the blast radius.
Even if he masters ranged combat, Link can also defend himself well in hand-to-hand combat with his sword, which gives him an advantage thanks to its reach.
