As you progress through Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, you will be able to unlock a whole list of Operators. However, it is not enough to chain the matches in the various online competitive modes to unlock them. The game displays a number of conditions to be met to unlock the 25 Operators which are divided into two groups, Specgru and Kortac.
Some emblematic Modern Warfare characters are back, such as Captain Price and Ghost. Check out the list of requirements to unlock each Operator in the game.
What are the requirements to unlock all operators in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2:
Some of the operators on the list are obtained by completing campaign missions, others by fulfilling a specific condition while playing online multiplayer modes. Note that unfortunately, some of the operators in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 can only be obtained by owning the “weapons chest” edition of the game, such as the Farah operator for example…
Conditions for obtaining Specgru operators:
- Rangers 1-4 – Base unlocked.
- Chuy – Unlocked by completing Campaign Mission 6 “Protection of the Cartel”.
- Gus – You will get it by making a total of 5 assists during a multiplayer game.
- Zimo – To get it you need to get an elimination with a secondary weapon in multiplayer.
- Kleo – Unlocked by getting an elimination with deadly gear.
- Nova – Unlocked by completing Campaign Mission 10 “Violence and Swiftness”.
- Price – Only available to those who own the Weapon Chest Edition.
- Farah – Only available to those who own the Weapon Chest Edition.
- Ghost – Only available to those who own the Weapon Chest Edition.
- Soap – Only available to those who own the Weapon Chest Edition.
- Gromsko – Obtained after successfully completing the “Low Profile” co-op mission.
- Reyes – Unlocks after completing Campaign Mission 14 “Escape”.
- Luna – Obtained by completing the 'Mount Zaya Defender' co-op mission.
Conditions for obtaining Kortac operators:
- Kortac Group 1 to 4 – Base unlocked.
- Fender – Unlocked by getting 2 kills with a launcher in a multiplayer game.
- König – To unlock it you must successfully complete an execution in multiplayer.
- Calisto – Unlocks when you get 5 headshot kills in a multiplayer match.
- Hutch – Operator unlocked by completing Mission 16 of the “Ghost Team” campaign.
- Horangi – Operator obtained for those who participated in the beta.
- Oni – The Operator is exclusive for PlayStation players who have purchased a digital version of the game.
- Roze – Obtained by successfully getting a close range kill in multiplayer.
- Zero – Obtained by completing the “Defended Zone” co-op mission.
- Conor – You must get 5 kills with hip shots (without aiming) during a multiplayer game.
- Aksel – You will unlock him by getting at least 20 kills in a multiplayer game.
- Stiletto – You need to get 2 revenge kills in a multiplayer match (kill the one that killed you right before).
