As you explore the different campaign missions of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, you will sometimes come across safes that will only open if you have the correct combination. There are a total of three chests to open throughout the campaign. Inside, you will often find useful things to complete the current mission or even weapons. Finally, the goal of opening all the chests of the campaign is at the end to unlock an achievement or a trophy entitled "gentleman burglar".
Chests are often found in the quietest missions, those where stealth is emphasized… In these missions, you often need resources to craft survival equipment. Unfortunately, the combination of these chests is not always easy to find, this guide will make it easier for you by simply showing you the different codes to enter!
Combination for the first safe of mission 11 “El Sin Nombre”:
In Mission 11 “El Sin Nombre”, you find yourself in the heart of Mexico trying to establish contact with the mysterious cartel leader. You will find a safe in one of the bedrooms upstairs in the forbidden area (to the left of the strip lounge), you must open a wardrobe in Diego's room to discover a hidden safe there. The safe's combination is 02-02-19. Inside you will find the Lockwood 300 rifle and several armor plates.
Combination for the second safe of mission 13 "Alone":
The second chest is located in the “Alone” mission, the one where you play as Soap, unarmed and who finds himself separated from his group. You'll find a chest in the cafe, it's the place just above where you have to disarm a trap with a gun that goes off if you have the misfortune to go through the main door. Be careful, when you are in the cafe, make sure not to jump in the lower area at the risk of missing the chest. Instead, search the left side of the cafe to find a locked desk that you will need to pick with an object previously crafted with the resources you find in the environment.
In the office, you will see a calendar for the year 2020 hanging on the wall which highlights the date of October 10 which is circled. It is written "40th anniversary" on this date. This makes it possible to deduce the date of birth of the owner and therefore to discover the combination of the chest which is in a corner of the room. For your convenience, the combination to enter is 10-10-80. Inside the chest you will find a silenced GS 50 pistol and useful items that will allow you to craft homemade equipment to make MacGyver jealous.
Combination for the third safe of mission 13 "Alone":
The third chest to open is also in the “Alone” mission. In the section after the cafe, you will have to sneak through the guards to try to reach the back room of a garage. In this garage there is a computer that allows you to understand that the code for this chest is 37-60-80. Inside it you will find a throwing knife and a crossbow. Very useful equipment to hope to come out alive from the “Alone” stealth mission of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. After opening the three chests, you will unlock the “gentleman burglar” trophy / achievement.
