Clash Royale, Thief, Gameplay, Tip, Hint,
What is the little masked one made of?
Even if it is not yet officially released, some were able to obtain the thief via its special event (12 wins in a row, available until Monday 20 at 05:59), with the first free entry and 100 gems for the next one. Whether you are in one case or the other, it is good to know what this card is capable of, to use it wisely or to counter it.
First of all, it is necessary to specify a very important thing: the thief is not a "mini-tank" and therefore, do not see it as a replacement for the Knight (same cost). In this area, our elder will be in better capacity for this task, moreover he can get rid of it, when we are in Tournament mode (i.e. 1 for the first, 9 for him).
It should be understood, in our view, as a Ground sniper. Indeed, the thief will excel in the art of getting rid of medium units quickly and efficiently, due to its design. She owns three assets undeniable: good hit points, non-negligible damage and above all, its charge. Indeed, this last aspect is its uniqueness and its strength.
What does not change compared to other units with the charge, such as the Prince for example, is that the damage of the latter is double that of a normal hit. Only, she is totally invincible in this state, ignoring everything in her path. Therefore, this is where his nickname "Sniper" takes on its meaning. As long as it locks a unit and launches its charge against it (1 sec), you can put a spell, another card, a building etc... it will pass through and take no damage. It takes full force, therefore, to get rid of small buildings (like the Tombstone) and single units that are within a reasonable distance, with low or moderate hit points (Princess and Musketeer).
However, the card has two notable flaws. The first is that it is totally useless to counter the Hog Rider, because the latter is too fast. The second is that it is weak against small units, especially Goblins: if, before its charge, you or your opponent land small units in front, it will target them first, greatly reducing its efficiency.
In the end, it is a legendary that should not be overlooked: it is capable of hurting a tower if left alone and punishes certain ground units well, which are quite common, especially those doing ranged damage.
