A leaked image on Twitter may have revealed the official release date of NBA 2K22. The image also reveals the athletes who could be featured on the cover of the Legends game.
The image was leaked by the NBA 2K22 Leaks and Intel Twitter page. We don't know how this page got the image, but it looks very official. You can see the image of the posted tweet below.

As you can see from the image, it looks like the release date for NBA 2K22 is September 10, 2021. That's around the usual release time for NBA games, i.e. a few weeks before the start of a season in October.
It also looks like this year's game will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the NBA itself. Finally, the image shows the athletes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki. These three players are legends, although Durant is the only one still playing in the NBA.
The only reason we're calling this news a rumor is because 2K Sports has yet to reveal any official details. At first glance, it looks like the leaked image looks very legit. Hopefully more details about the game will be revealed soon.
