Today the Destiny 2 Bungie's 30th Anniversary Pack is available. As the name suggests, Bungie is celebrating 30 years of great games by adding new content to one of their most beloved games. The question is: is it worth it? Here's everything that will be available with the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack and whether it's worth it.

Destiny 2, if you don't know, is one of Bungie's great free-to-play first-person shooter MMORPGs that, like other free-to-play live games, isn't afraid of paywalls. Offering an exciting new world filled with epic quests, powerful weapons, and Exotic gear, there's always something new in Destiny 2. For year-end and its 30th anniversary, Bungie is releasing an Anniversary Pack.

Is Destiny 30 Bungie's 2th Anniversary Bundle Worth It?

Before discussing whether it is worth it or not, you must first know what you will get with the 30th Anniversary Bundle. There will be a new pirate-themed dungeon called Grasp of Avarice, the Gjallarhorn Exotic Rocket that was a fan favorite from Destiny 1, and a new Thorn Armor set based on Thorn, the popular hand cannon in Destiny 1. to that there will be various ornament sets like streetwear and new weapons inspired by old Bungie worlds, like maybe Halo. All of this is included for $25.

Now, is the Destiny 30 Bungie 2th Anniversary Pack worth it? Honestly, not really. In the past, Bungie has released events for free, like the new dungeon in this new pack. With the 30th Anniversary Pack, which doesn't include much, there's an expensive paywall for previously free content. A paywall, might I add, that shares the price of other amazing and comprehensive games.

There are also other concerns. Since Destiny 2 is an ever-evolving game, the power of guns and armor is fleeting with each new season. If the game follows the same trajectory as it has for the past seven years, the contents of this 30th Anniversary Pack will no longer make sense in a few seasons.

Finally, the cost of this Anniversary Pack is almost the cost of a full-fledged expansion. Bungie is getting greedy with its paywalls for Destiny 2 and in this case, in particular, it's not worth it. Unless you're a big Bungie fan or die-hard Destiny fan, this 30th Anniversary Bundle isn't worth it. Wait until next February for The Witch Queen, because this expansion will be worth it.
