Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is much more involved than most previous games in the franchise, with one of the areas of complexity having to do with building relationships. This is done through what is known as the Community Board in-game, with different available. It can be a bit confusing when you receive your first Spirit Emblem from Gohan and this guide will walk you through what to do with it.
How to Set Gohan Next to Goku
Although it's not at the very beginning of the game, you'll learn about the game aspect of the community map pretty quickly. The community council is divided into seven different councils, each having a leader you can build around.
The first of the community boards you have access to is Z Warrior, led by none other than Goku. After some of the first missions with Goku at the start of the game and with Gohan in the woods, you will receive what is called a Spirit Emblem for Gohan.
Spirit Emblems can be used on these different Community Councils to pair with one of the Community Council Leaders. Doing this might seem a little confusing at first, so be sure to grab the emblem, in this case Gohan, and place it in the circular square just to the left of Goku. Doing this will give the Z Warrior board a boost and allow you to continue with the story.
