Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot may have plenty of one-on-one combat, but it also has its fair share of team combat. In these fights, you will have one or two teammates to help you in battle. When you have support characters in a fight, you can bring them both together in a long team attack known as a Z Combo. It's not obvious how to do it, so this guide will describe how you can do it.
How to use a Z combo support attack
Whenever you have support characters in a match with you, you'll notice icons for them appear above your main character that you're playing as. By holding R1 on PS4, you can choose between two super attacks that you set for them to use in battle to aid you. These have a cooldown meter, which is shown by the icon darkening and then filling with light. When it is full again, you can use another attack.
For Z combos, you need to keep an eye on the ring around the icon. When these are full, it's when you can execute your strongest team move that can really annihilate your opponent.
To remove this, wait until the rings are completely filled. At this point, press L1 + R1 at the same time to activate the Z Combo and sit back and watch as you unleash a major attack on the enemy. This can be done with a single support character, but it's even better if you run it when you have two with full support gauges.
