Wedding rings got some changes in Shadowlands Update 9.1, to include new Conduits, Legendaries, and general rebalancing, so fans will want to know the best Commitments by class. While there's nothing wrong with playing the Covenant you want, anyone looking to max out their performance will want to pick the best for their class. This is doubly true if you consider the time it takes to increase your Renown with a new Alliance, in case you need to change. Well, now we have a good idea of who the best alliances are by class and spec.
Shadowlands Patch 9.1 – Best Alliances by Class
Below are the best alliances per class in Shadowlands Patch 9.1, filtered by specialization. You will notice that some Covenant choices are broken down by content type and some classes are not listed in a single Covenant. Any explicitly named Covenant is the "best" Covenant for a given spec, but if I rate the other commitments are competitive feel free to choose whichever you prefer: your performance will only be slightly affected if you do.

As you can see, some class specializations in Shadowlands Patch 9.1 benefit from multiple alliances, or their best alliance barely outranks the others. That said, many classes may want to choose an explicit specialization, as the best Covenant for each of their specs is very different. Luckily, few classes and specs have to split the Covenant's choice based on the type of content they enjoy, and it's much easier to catch up on Renown in Shadowlands Patch 9.1. As I always advise, play whatever Covenant you want to play! But, if you want to optimize your character, this list will put you on the right track.
